University Elections
Every year in January, the elections for the Student Parliament, the Student Councils and the Foreigners' Council take place. The elections are conducted on the basis of the election regulations of the student body of the TU Clausthal.
The election committee monitors the regularity of the elections and is responsible for them in cooperation with the election administration. The election committee consists of one member of the council of elders, three members of the student parliament and one member of the central student council. With a few exceptions, your elected representatives will begin their work on April 1 of each year. More detailed information will be available as soon as further dates for the next elections are known.

Info about the current election
In the winter semester 2024/2025, the representatives of the student group are to be elected in the following bodies:
- Student Parliament
- Student Council
- Foreigners' Council
The election will be conducted entirely electronically (online voting). The elections will take place at the same time as the elections for the Senate and the Faculty Councils.
All eligible voters are hereby invited to submit election proposals for each election. Election proposals must be submitted to AStA by November 11, 2024, 12:00 p.m. (cut-off time). All eligible voters may make use of the option of absentee voting. Absentee ballots can be requested in writing or electronically from the Election Office until December 9, 2024, 12:00 noon. Upon mailing or delivery of the absentee ballot, eligible voters are precluded from voting electronically.
